  • You will have to let me know if it works for you :D

    Edit: just seen your edit..

Ha, yes, though I think I'll still give it a try, it's only a fiver at the end of the day! I'll report back and let you know what happens!
  • Can anyone else help?

The Virgin card in this link charges a minimum £5 for a cash advance.

I'm assuming gambling transactions are treated as cash advances.

It looks like a gambling transaction in reverse (withdrawing from the bookie to credit the card) refunds the fiver!

    Major loophole opportunity.

Play it smart and you can outdo Halifax for free fivers!
  • thanks, i am just going to continue to withdraw small payments to my CC then and get the extra £5 :D

  • Nice bonus!

But does this not fall into the same sort of category as people queuing around the block to withdraw money from a machine that they know has the £10 and £20 notes the wrong way around?

At best, it will be repayable, surely?

Sometimes it's best to keep quiet when you've stumbled into something like this!

The company should only be refunding the card the load came from.

Remember gambling comes on cash as far a credit co's go. So remember you will pay interest from day one.....
