Thanks Wonder_Girl
They seem similar to the PC World option but longer lasting
I think the main thing is they cost a fair amount £3.99 for 10
Microfibre options are cheaper one cloth for around a £1 and could be reused.
Just a bit apprehensive about the possibility of damage mentioned in the Wikipedia extract above
Anyone else with input would be appreciated.
Thanks

TESCO

In that case I'll try out Microfibre because its a lot cheaper, unless anyone has any other ideas.
Tesco 2 pack for £1.94 looks good.
Will use for my Dell Laptop screen and less frequently my scanner screen.0 -
I buy my microfibre cloths from poundland and they are really good.
Use them for TV screens as well. If you want something anti static try tumble dryer sheets, keeps the dust away for a while and smells nice too (Thanks Aggie and Kim)Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I bought some screen cleaning tissues from PC world and they dried up.
I now use a microfibre cloth for cleaning the entire laptop. It is much better than anything else that I have tried, it picks up all the dust and makes the screen shine without any smears. You can use a small amount of water if necessary. If you clean regularly and wash the cloth from time to time there should be little chance of grit damage to the screen.
You can reserve one cloth just for the delicate items.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

or... as an alternative if you want to continue with the handy wipes then get the in car window wipes (same stuff) or window cleaner (basically what the pc screen wipes are coated with) or you can just polish. Just check the ingredients and avoid anything containing acetone and alcohol.0

I purchased the Tescos Microfibre which is a pack of two
One Blue One Green
I just used it clean the screen of my Dell Laptop.
It definetly needs water, I placed a little water onto the screen then wiped off with the cloth.
It takes longer then the PC World wipes used to and involves a lot more elbow work but I can say that the screen is spotless (more importantly dustless) at the end, and in spite of pressing down quite hard and giving it a good wipe down the screen was not scratched or damaged in anyway.
I used the Blue one just for the screen and the
Green one for the rest of the laptop
I'm just gonna shake them off let them dry and put away both and keep for cleaning my laptop.
They are washable at 60oC so after a few more uses will give them a good wash.
So thats
£2
Vs
£15
