Where's the cheapest Digital Camera?

Options
My young son had a cheap digital camera from Tesco which packed up after a few weeks. They were happy for me to return it but no longer stock the model. Anyone got any advice on where to get cheap (£30-£50) digital cameras from?

Kodak has some good refurbished cameras, been a few threads on here about kodak. I bought a koda easyshare CX6445 from them, great little camera, absolutely nothing wrong with it.

They have C310 at moment (4 mega pixels) for £24.99 plus you can buy the printer dock at same time for £20 so £44.99 for a camera and printer. Postage is £4

So in all £48.99 whole lot.

Or £28.99 for a camera that still retails for around £60

Not sure if the camera in this thread is still available but may be worth a look.

I have a Canon compact camera and love it, the pix are great, the movie mode is excellent. I've had a Fuji and an Olympus in the past, neither were as good as my canon.

Still available at some shops - suggest a phone around. See my post on the thread you refer to

Incidently, how do you do that "this thread" thing and when you click on it it takes you to a website/thread ?
I'd love to be able to do that in e-mails

If you're quick you might like to get down to superdrug. This thread has the latest offers.

They seem to run these 'eekend only'offers every month or two. I got a Samsung 5MP for £30 a couple of months ago plus a 2GB SD card from play.com for £12 (which you can now get for £7.50 from Amazon).

I got a Fufi A500 from Asda last week for £54. 5.1 Megapixels. No Xd card with it though so e-bay'd for 1 at about £15 for 1Gb.

They also had A400 4.1 Megapixel version for £50 in Asda.

I think my model was still £80 in Argos.

Got a 4 MP Kodak from Ebuyer last week for work, £56 but if you pay with Google check out you get £10 off. Also cos the original order before discount was over £50 you got free delivery (Was supposed to be within 5 days, but turned up the next day!).

Feels a bit plasticky, but takes decent enough pics for the money, just stick an SD card on the order to ensure you have enough storage space for your pics.

I found this thread by searching to see if the Kodak refurbs shop has been mentioned on here before, but I reckon it's worth another mention.

I've just had an email from them which is the first time I've heard of their refurbs shop, so I had a look and am impressed. I got a Kodak Z740 for about £160 in October 2005, it was my first camera and it's produced some great shots for me. You can get it from them for £90 now, the link's http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=10753&pq-locale=en_GB&_requestid=11250

and this is what they say about the shop:

Refurbished products offer you the opportunity to purchase high-quality Kodak products at substantial savings.

These products have mostly been used by Kodak for testing or demonstration purposes. Before offering them for sale, we rigorously inspect them for quality to insure that they function as well as our new products.
    What advantages does this bring?
    Lower prices than new products
    6 months warranty
    7-day money back guarantee

Also, if you order anything over £20 from the Kodak shop before the 20th June, you can get free shipping, the voucher's on the relevant board:
