Well you can open a dispute as item not as described but eBay would expect you to return.
You can report to eBay about postage but I doubt they would do anything.
Then you can mark the DSR for postage etc. low.
Have you actually contacted the seller about this first to see what they have to say.
Also have you tested that the item works (most important)?Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
If you haven't already contacted the seller about this, and they don't know you've got it, I'd ask them for the tracking number and see what they say. That's naughty not to send out by the method that you've charged for!! As Meadows says, low rating for postage when you eventually do give feedback.0

They might have been naughty sending it untracked but I wouldn't go around telling people to commit fraud though.
The seller could have made a genuine mistake had lots to post and forgot to add the recorded to the package or the post office staff could have made the mistake.
Always ask the seller first.0 -

I don't think there is anything wrong in asking for a tracking number but don't lie and say you haven't received it when you have. I'd just ask: may I have the tracking number? And when they admit they haven't sent it tracked ask why.0

why do people think on ebay postage is just postage.
the cost is for Postage and Packaging and anything related to the postage and packing of the item.0 -

Ignoring everyting else, If the item HAD been sent recorded, thus costing the seller about an extra 90p (a cost to them in total of about £3.10 ish) would you still be moaning about the postage cost you paid as opposed to the cost the seller paid? The buyer came back he wont refund nothing as he said hes son said there was 3 marks not 6 and he said it was down to hes on what postage he sent it by !
You were quite happy to pay it before you worked out the cost afterwards!Lose is to not win......Loose is not tight......get it right!0 -
I'd personally reply saying you feel the postage was excessive given it only cost him £2.20, and you'd like a partial refund of £6.
I'd wait 4 days for a reply or refund, and if he doesn't, I'd probably leave a neg, as I really hate sellers who rip off buyers with postage. I trust them to be honest, and it p*sses me off when they're not.
PS - you BOUGHT it off Ebay, not brought.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

I think any seller would be hard pressed to justify over £5 for packaging!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
