Best Price for Silver Scam, anyone?

I also ordered a pack from these guys a month ago so any one expecting your stuff back don't hold your breath.They seemed so legit, I sent some gold to another company on the same day and they responded in 24 hours which was great, after a week of waiting for best price for silver I wasn't really worried but I phoned them for an update,Because if I put my tracking number in on the website it wouldn't work. Some one answered straight away and re assured me that they had a high volume of packs so they would get back to me the next day which as you can guess they didn't. I left it for another week at this point I was quite annoyed I phoned them and was put straight on to Answering machine I messaged directly of the website 4 times with no reply I also emailed them which got rejected, this is what made my slightly suspicious. Last week I rang 15 times in a row I'm fuming at the fact that people are going around stealing people's belongings. Nobody answered. I then typed there address into google, a Couple of different websites appeared claiming to have that address. I gold refinery company and a website where you can pay of your car ticket fine. I phoned the gold Refinery to make them aware that some one was using there address and claimed to be connected to them As it says on the bottom of the best price for silver website . A man answered and didn't seemed bother with the information I had told him and said that they had no association with best price for silver. I told them I suspected being scammed and if they could give me advice on what to do. The guy said he would speak to his manager and was gone literally 30 seconds he then returned and said to me Iv just emailed them for you they don't want bad feedback so ring them now and they will answer. This I thought very dodgy because he had just said they don't even know the silver company. And the fact that they didn't reply to any of my emails how he got a instant reply I don't know. So I phoned the silver people again and coincidentally they answered, I had a bit of a rant at the lack of customer service and the was told I would only be getting 3 pound for silver that I know for a fact is 50 pounds or more. At this point I was quite rude and demanded my stuff back, to then have the phone put down on me.

These people are obviously scamming people through lots of different websites something needs to be done. I contacted watchdog and am awaiting a reply.

I think they have got me too and I'm furious! I have been waiting 3 weeks and my tracking number shows that my pack is being processed but from reading similar experiences on here it sounds like I wont hear anything. I have tried the phone number on the website and got an answerphone, my email bounced back and I heard nothing from a direct message I sent on their website.

Obviously apart from complaining to Trading Standards and Watchdog do we not have any other rights as consumers?? I'm really cross and just want my silver back, I sent around £50- £60s worth of silver.

If people have been complaining then you would think that Trading Standards could at least shut their website down so that no one else gets sucked in.

Just to add to the mix - I sadly didn't read this thread or any others before I sent off a cigarette box to Best Price for Silver - delivered a week ago but nothing from them since. IN trying to trace them I must have followed the same process as you 'mummy for two' as when I got through to the office in Hatton Garden these people are (fraudulently) using they said they had spoken to a lady on Friday about the same thing! It seems futile to keep trying to contact Best Price for Silver, but has anyone either got their silver back or heard anything back from emails/phone calls from British Gold Rrefinery?

I have also contacted Trading Standards and they seemed quite interested and willing to help. I have been advised to write to Best Price For Silver to say that they are in breach of contract. I have sent this letter to the PO Box address in Manchester (with certificate of postage) and also an address in Hatton Garden. I have given them 7 days to respond but I doubt I will hear anything. Trading Standards then asked me to get in touch again after the 7 days have passed.

Trading Standards said that the Best Price For Silver website has been running since May last year and yet all the complaints on this forum are much more recent. Trading Standards wondered whether the company has recently come into difficulty but I still think it's a scam!

I think the next step is to contact Action Fraud as these are the people with the power to close the website down which to me is the most important part so that no one else gets conned.

I did post up a link to help the public work out what is and is not a genuine price for both silver and gold ie based on the fix, but it was removed
Check the gold and silver prices of
Lois Jewellery
Birmingham Gold company
Scrap Gold Uk
Hatton garden Metals

If the price you see is above these then its NOT a genuine price ..Simple as that
