Advice re travel claim

I’ve just come back from holiday. The travel company caused a big ol mess and to cut a long story short I didn’t have my suitcase for the entire trip.
My insurance company say that they will pay £50 per day for a max of £300. 7days without my case makes £350. Also there is the money spent on replacement clothes etc.
My question is am I able to claim the replacement items from the airline separately as I won’t get that from the insurance company due to the max of £300. Should I claim it all back from the airline itself? Is there another way to claim for this? Any advice would be appreciated

I would have thought the £300 were meant to cover your expenses for replacement clothes? As for what the airline will cover, you will need to ask them directly. Different airlines have different policies about what you can reasonably spend in cases of delayed luggage. Start by checking if they have anything about this on their website.0

Often airlines will pre-authorise spending to be reimbursed with receipts. Was there any discussion about this with the airline in advance?
eg If I need to buy stuff will I be reimbursed?0
