Hand Cream Help

Hi,
I normally dislike using handcream as I find that many brands don't sink in quickly and leave my hands with an unpleasant residue on them. A combination of the cold weather and the fact that I'm washing them more often at the moment due to using my wood burner more frequently has left them dry. I would therefore like some hand cream recommendations. I don't want to pay a lot of money for it and I'd like it to sink in very quickly if possible and not leave a residue.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi poorly scammo...A couple of years ago (possibly a bit longer, 2008 maybe) I ended up with several tubes of the Boots Expert Concentrated Hand and Nail cream thanks to a Boots glitch. I found that it would sink in quickly and didn't leave a residue. I am still using my stash of this cream so don't know if the formula has changed at all, I hope it hasn't because I plan on getting some more when I run out. It looks as though it is still getting some good reviews on the Boots website:

It is only a little tube but one of those products where a little bit really does go a long way
I am sure others will be along with some more suggestions soon

I use hemp hand protector from the bodyshop. it is quite rich and thick. A tiny dot (maybe as big as a 20p coin) does the job for me. It sinks in quick but the smell is not particular pleasing for some. They are often on offer (half price sometimes)0

I also find the Boots expert one very good; it's very much like the Norwegian Formula one that only requires a little dab.
However, I've also discovered (and was quite surprised by it) that Soap and Glory "Hand Food" is really, REALLY good. It sinks in more quickly than most others I've used, is very moisturising and smells lovely.
Boots sell it and there is a mini sized one (ideal for carrying around) that you could get to see if it works for you.0 -
I always tend to use Nivea...big blue bottle..or Nivea for men moisturiser for my pretty face. Good value and effective.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

another vote for hemp hand protector from bodyshop
I work outdoors and it is the only thing I've found which will both revive and protect badly chapped hands. My wee brother also agrees (his hands dry out whilst using chalk for climbing)0 -
Hemp hand protector and S&G Hand Food are both great, but for total cheapness at work I love Wilko's Skin Therapy Q10 cream. Smells nice, light, but rich. And 99p!

Looks like it's 59p now and is 2 for 1 according to the website.

Should tell you how long it is since I've had to buy some

I work in a lab so I'm constantly washing my hands - I use that 3 or 4 times during the day and it really helps. I have a richer cream for night (S&G one I got for Christmas) and use that after my bath or shower.

i like the Vaseline intensive hand lotion, in the pink bottle. good value, light lotion thats easily absorbed, not greasy and very moisturising. a lotion that i always go back to after trying other brands. anything with glycerine inthe ingredients is good. oh, pleasant light smell. the body shop has a rose handcream - bit thick and well absorbing but the smell of roses is very strong.0
