Message for Moderators- moving challenges from diary pages

Hello,

I've not been using MSE for that long but would like to make a suggestion about the DFW/Diaries boards.

A few weeks ago the 1% challenge strangely moved from the DFW general board to the diaries board and now gets buried there. I notice a number of other challenges (including sealed pot challenge and 20p savers) are also over there?

I have to say the 1% thread has been life changing for me and as a new user I just wouldn't have found it had it been on the diaries page. It also made me feel like a member of a DFW community so that I regularly want to come online to see how everyone's doing. I'd definitely have visited and posted less without it.

Anyway my suggestion is that the diary section should be just that- for people's personal diaries whereas this general board should be for general queries/challenges and the like. If others agree could you please move challenges back to this general page?

Thank you. Hope you don't mind me suggesting this but I wouldn't want others to miss out on the challenges because they've for buried in the diaries. Thank you also for moderating the forum :-)

Def would prefer the 1% challenge on DFW board rather than diaries. Missed it for ages until i stumbled across it on Diaries. Its a very quiet thread now as i think most people have lost it which is a shame.

It would be great if it could be moved back to the main DFW board. I started the thread and it has certainly got quieter on there since the move. Only those that subscribed managed to find it again.

I think having the challenges in the main DFW thread keeps the more knowledgable members visiting regularly which means the new members get excellent advice and a ton of useful replies when they post. They also get chance to dive into the community by joining a supportive challenge.

I'd be happy to rename the thread to 1% Challenge so it is clear it is a challenge and not a diary.

If the move back could be considered it would be really appreciated as I'm sure it would bring it back to life & open it up to new members too.

Thanks for asking, and fermi for moving over here.

We initially moved challenges and diaries over as some people thought they were clogging up the main board preventing people from seeing and answering Debt-free questions.

Could you post the link to the thread though and we can take a look?
