Mis Sold Sky Broadband
Suarez
Purchased Sky broadband from a guy at a local shopping centre. I was told that broadband was £10 a month but free for the first 6 months and line rental was £14.50 from the start.
So £14.50 for for 6 months then £24.50 after.
Have just been billed £24.50 so I contact sky and they say they have no record of any offers on my account and cannot do anything about it.
What can I do?

Presumably you have paperwork outling all this that yu bought from this guy with his signauture and yours.
Just send them a copy of it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Why buy at a shopping centre and let the agent keep the commission that you could have had yourself via a cashback site?
Are you sure that the first bill isn't pro-rata for a part month? Remember that you are billed a month in advance for all the services except exclusive calls, or other extras. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Did you have the offer in writing from the sales person? Otherwise it's your word against theirs.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0

The sales person is sorting it now so hopefully it will be resolved.0

You are truly an optimist then. The guys (and gals) who peddle Sky in the shopping malls are not Sky employees, they are freelance marketing agents. Their interest stops with your name on the contract, which pays them their commission. No free lunch, and no free laptop

You sure?
When I was on the redundancy list a few years back I applied for a job at Sky, working in a local shopping centre selling Sky. I had a telephone interview with a lady at Sky and was then invited to their assessment centre. Then my employer revoked the redundancy and I didn't proceed with the Sky job.0 -
How many years ago is a few years? They may possibly do both.No free lunch, and no free laptop

2 years. Possibly, but you seemed sure they were all freelance.0

I know two sales agents that work in a shopping centre - both are employed by Sky.0
