CAB aint legal advice, infact their advice is the same as hereDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

no I know that. That isn't what I meant. Thanks for your help.0

If you feel you do not have a reasonable response and the dispute has been in process for over 4 weeks from reading your comments. Ask vodafone to issue you a letter of deadlock and take it to the adjudicator to look at. They have the power to make the mobile operater play ball and are very much on the consumer side.
Also bare in mind that it will cost Vodafone around £350 if it gets to the adjudicator. They have the power to intervene. Also the damage has now been done in terms of credit rating.
The adjudicator can not help much in terms of credit rating. But they can help if Vodafone dispute the original reason why you broke out etc.
They vodafone can be forced to retract that default notice and a notice of correction can be put into your credit rating which means that by law any company doing a credit check on you have to consider that notice of correction.
Good luck and lets hope Vodafone do the right thing here. Its not right consumers should be unfairly and financially directly/indirectly penalised for the big companies wrong doings.0 -
Thanks for that.
I have spoken with Lee and he is looking into it. Hopefully with a sensible outcome as he sounded helpful on the phone.
If not then the above advice is useful, the outstanding contract amount was £199 so nothing major anyway.
Lets see what happens when I hear back from Lee.0 -

I have a huge problem with Vodafone at the minute, I was given a half price retention deal over the phone @£14.50, they have charged full price £29, every month since, but each month, I got it refunded. On the 4th month, they say they cannot offer me that deal and have to pay the full price for the remaining period! How can this happen? Surely it's a breach of contract. I will be taking the legal route to sort this, as I have now spent too many hours of my time on the phone to them, and sent several e-mails, to no avail.0

This is a series of unfortunate events;
I've been a loyal customer since I was in college so about 8 years now, I was sim only recently waiting for the iPhone 6. I preordered and was assured it would come on the day of release so in order to fund my upgrade I put my old phone on eBay.
I was notified the night before it was due to come, that it wasn't coming, after I'd already listed my old phone, which I had to keep my end of the deal and was sold two days later. (I had to use an old handset I had knocking around)
Due to this frustration I told Vodafone not to bother and cancelled my contract, or so I thought when one week later I got an email to say they were still waiting for my iPhone and that they would keep me updated.
I then spoke with Vodafone about this poor service and after 1 hour and 19 minutes on the 191 number, I was given £50 credit and my data limit was doubled from 2g to 4g if I renewed on a two year contract. I was happy and willing to wait for my iPhone with Vodafone because mistakes do happen and I love the brand.
Three weeks later (still waiting for my iphone but happily because I know its worth the wait) I've had a text off vodafone telling me I'm near my data limit and that I will need to buy more or risk charges.
After another long phone call I've been told that I've had the £50 taken off my bill due to them putting two bills together, which is fine whatever but there is nothing on the system notes-wise that says I'm entitled to my internet doubling, it's not like I would make it up really is it?! I now have to wait upto 10 days while someone listens to that call to verify that I was promised my extra internet.
I've tried to cancel my contract but now because it's been three weeks even though I dont have an iPhone I cant without a fee of over £1100. I asked to speak to a manager which I'm now told to expect a call off one within the next 48 hours. I've also paid for extra internet to save myself further charges.
I'm absolutely fuming and have no idea what to do, I've recommended family and friends to Vodafone and I completely regret it. Have they breached contract or is there any solution that anyone might be able to provide? (I know it's a first world problem but it's something I've been saving up for and been messed around various times talked back around and what feels like being shafted again)0 -
Lol! You're waiting from a call back from a manager... How funny you are. Skeleton... hell freezes over...
Contact the Web Relations Team on here or you're achieve one of the above whilst waiting. See the Vodafone complaints thread as to how - there are more than enough to choose from.0
