Cheapest internet deal

Hi all,
Just wanting some advice regarding the cheapest internet deal available (I am in a shed load of debt and am finally taking steps to try and clear it).
I am currently with Virgin Media. I am meant to be paying £30.20 a month for unlimited broadband and a phone line  I think this is very pricey. The reason I was paying this much was because I already had a contract with them when I moved to my current flat and they would not reduce it. They are unable to install Virgin tv or fibre optic broadband where I live (on a new housing estate) so explained that they have to rent the line from BT. The speed is also quite slow.
I am currently paying £20.20 a month as when my contract came to the end of the minimum term, they agreed to put it down to this price for 6 months without renewing the contract. These 6 months are up next month and I am wondering what to do.
It is likely that I will be moving from my current location at the end of the year so ideally I don't want to go into an 18 month contract with someone else.
I just called Virgin and they told me that if I wanted to stay with them, I would need to renew my contract and the cost would be £19.99 p/m for an 18 month contract or £25 p/m for a 12 month contract. I am not keen on either of these options to be honest.
I have had a quick look around at what else is available. Ideally I would like to be paying no more than £20 p/m for unlimited broadband (I would consider broadband with usage limits but I am a bit concerned as I don't really know how much I use). I would also only want to enter into a 12 month minimum term and no more. I would prefer to not have a minimum contract at all and would rather not have a phone line as I don't use it but I don't think either of these things are very common.
Primus was suggested to me and I have had a look at Sky Unlimited BB as that is on offer at the moment.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks everyone

Hi,
Put your phone number and postcode into the checker on this page :
http://www.samknows.com/broadband/broadband_checker
This will show you what services are available, let us know what it says if you're not sure what it means. Hopefully Fibre will be available for you and you could go with someone like Plusnet (£19.99 for truly unlimited fibre)0 -
Thanks Peter999.
It looks like I can get Plusnet Value Fibre Optic but it is not unlimited and has an 18 month contract?0 -
Make sure you check Quidco and Topcashback before deciding, you might be able to get a fair bit back.0

Thanks Peter999.

You can get unlimited Fibre* with Plusnet for only an extra £4 a month.
*Fibre to the cabinet for the people who moan about it not being true fibre broadband. :silenced:0
