Sootica1976 I am in Crete and I have just 'looked in' and am so glad that you had such a sensible judge. I'm sure you are relieved.0

Thank you Nar. I am very relieved, but will relax properly if i don't hear from her. Hope you are having a great time in Crete.0

Good to see an appropriate result from the court. I've been following this and would have offered to accompany you to court if I'd been free [barrack-room lawyer with time on my hands!].0

Aw that is a lovely thing to say, bless you and thank you0

sorry for your loss - but just regarding the bond itself - i paid a bond when i moved into my rented accom and this bond like yours went to deposit scheme. In my understanding, it doesn't go to landlady by right alone. She has to provide evidence of damage and give estimates/receipts for the work. It is outrageious that she thought she would take advantage of a grieving daughter to pocket the bond. How b.... dare she? Can you get in the flat/house and take pictures of this so called damage? I wonder if she has pictures? Go to court. There is no way this landlady is in the right here. (In my humble view as a fellow renter).
Sorry hadn't read ALL posts - was so furious after first few. Glad to hear about the hearing.Aiming to take control of my life:A

Thanks edsjad, luckily justice did prevail in the end.
And an update, I have heard nothing from the courts and as the deadline for her to make a new claim against me was 17th June, I am so happy to say that this is finally over!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you- who without your support, would not have got through it, you were all wonderful! Take care and best wishes to all of you xx0 -

I wholeheartedly agree with Mrs Supersaver. And thanks for taking the time to give us an update.
You were put through so much unnecessary stress at a very difficult time by that dreadful woman. I think that a lot of us were all rooting for you and wishing you well.0 -
Thank you, so kind of you both

Just to say well done for standing your ground and standing up to this woman.
It's just a pity she was willing to throw away her money on such a malicious witch-hunt.
DxI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0
