Dear MSE people,
Back in November I decided to switch over to EE from Orange because EE offered a sizeable discount on the monthly line rental for 4G tariffs.
The discount wasn't through my employer but direct from EE and targeted at people who work in phone retail. I filled in the form correctly and provided the necessary proof of my employment. The discount was submitted in accordance with the discount offer terms.
2 months and counting and EE haven't applied the discount. I've been given the runaround by EE staff - "oh, I can see it. Your discount will be on your next bill" or "ok I'll have to get back to you about this as it's a different department" blah blah blah etc etc.
Colleagues have had the discount applied withing days of sending in the forms so I'm not sure what do do. The ONLY reason I changed from Orange to EE was because of the discount offer.
I'm going to go through EE's complaints procedure but I'm not sure how to frame the complaint. Is this misrepresentation? Or is there another legal term which applies to this situation.
Kind regards
B

It doesn't have to be a legal terminology as you are not in a court. I don't see this as misrepresentation as they don't refuse to give you the discount. In layman's terms it is called incompetence of the CS and giving a customer runaround. I would use these terms or similar if I were complaining.0
