Scotch guard to protect the sets sounds great with my having young children. Can the dealer do this for us? Can they provide the scotch pray for me to use on the sets?“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

They will charge around £300 for this, I had it done and it's not worth it.
Unless they offer it as a freebie,don't bother.0 -
The ford fiesta I want has been transported from one ford dealer to another closer to where i live. The sales man initially assumed that I would take finance 7-10% and warranty for a year for £400. I insisted that I would not. The salesman spoke to his manager and then said he would sell it to me without them. He said that transporting from one dealership to another is really cutting down all their profit.
I have not asked for a reduction in the car price and I was wondering if should insist on a reduction. I have looked online and can't see another car with that low mileage and age for that price. And within 20 miles from where I live.
I am going to see the car in person for the first time at the ford dealer and I am hoping that I see better priced cars there so I can then ask them to reduce mine too to match their lower prices.
I know that's its always good to ask fora reduction.. However do you think they would reduce it?
It's a ford fiesta (62) £8,500. Their sales cycle is at the end of the month.“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

Why would you want to pay for a warranty anyway on a 2012 car.
It's still got 2+ years left.0 -
I would like to thank everyone for yours advice and views. I bought this car and rejected the warranty. While there I was surprised as I was offered diamondBright body and seat protection plus fullPrice guarantee if written off insurance. I had to call my local mechanic while at the show room, who advised me that they were worthless products and actually my car might already have diamond bright on it already. The salesman put lots of pressure on us for a while but we said "no". So got the car without all the added extra which would have cost another £1,500.
Thanks thanks thanks ;0)“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson
