Boiler on Lockout

My boiler today has decided to go straight to lockout all of a sudden.

It's a range powermax 155 boiler and investigations online say I should try pressing the reset buttons.
This sounds stupid, but I have tried pressing every part of the red bit I can see, but nothing seems to move

Anyone got experience with this boiler or other things I can try before calling an engineer?

thats not the reset button thats the overheat reset, try turning the power off at the spur for a couple of mins, how can i put this nicely these aren't very good boilers

Yep. That's what my Internet research said!

Tried turning off and leaving but same effect

Checked overflow isn't frozen over too

is the pump running ? turn the heating off on the prog & make sure the bottom pump is working

Both pumps seems to be working and fan spins fine

if it's open vented make sure the roof tank has water in it
