Just seen Nexus 4 (16GB) available for £23.50 a month from Phones4u 200mins 750mb and unlimited texts on ORANGE plus poss £50 cashback from TCB or Quidco.

This isn't bad deal total cost after cashback £514.

If bought sim only which is very difficult phone costs £279 plus p&p £5?

cheapest sim only probably virgin £7 a month total cost £447 plus p&p.

So above deal not bad IMHO a lot better than first contracts offered only downside is you're locked into 2 year contract.

been to play with this phone in the O2 shop at lunch, think it will be my next handset if I can find the right deal. Think it'll be on vodafone through TCB/P4U as we're in a Tmob/Orange/EE black spot.

Good deal I'd say as the realistic handset price at the minute is about £389 until google can sell direct for £279 which is an absolute steal for a phone of this quality

minusPersonally I'm waiting for the nexus to come back in stock at google where I will buy it outright then I'll go for a tesco mob 1 month rolling contract (500 minutes, 1000 texts, 1gb data) for a tenner. Total cost it £399 figure a years contract effectly.

Agreed. And if tethering is your bag Virgin do some very tasty 30 day rolling SIM only deals with unlimited web starting at £12/mth.

hmm that beats the talkmobile SIMple £8pcm 6mth deal I looked at, for me your suggestion could be a winner if the phone came back in soon as hoping to purchase next month. Although I'd also considered the Ovivo PAYG with £5 top-up after having a read of some of the other threads here. All three of those options save about the cost of the handset over 12mths.

Dammit, need to learn more patience to save money :rotfl:

I am also waiting to purchase the Nexus and will use the Tesco site but I have been waiting for the Nexus to come back in stock since the beginning of December and it is STILL sold out online so I am starting to lose patience :mad:

I would imagine google has spanked LG for their supply problems and are going to wait until they have more than enough stock before putting it back on sale. I might be wrong though, common sense might not figure into it.
