hi
im just about to subscribe to Pipex 1MB,unlimited broadband package for £23ish a month(im going for good reputation)..........now when i goto order it say 2 microfilters are included with the modem.......but i can buy more for £8.99+vat each.......is it me or are these dear?are these the same things u can get off Ebay for £2.50 for 4 plus p&p?http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=90720&item=5183207507&rd=1
otherwise anyone know a cheap place for them?
there is the main socket with a cordless phone plugged into it downstairs, then in the sitting room there is a socket with just Sky+ plugged into it,on the landing there is standard phone plugged into one and in the bedroom there is a socket with just a caller ID plugged into one(this one will be used for Broadband).....so am i right in guessing i will only need 4 filters?and not bother about filters for the the sockets that are never used?
thanks

you should have a filter on each telephone socket, in use or not.
yes, they do seem expensive, i brought some from ebay for about £1 each which worked fine.
another option is to replace your master socket with a filtered one, then you do not need any extra filters, but you must be able to plug in your adsl in to the master not the extensions.
