I've read all 22 pages of this fantastic thread but nobody has asked (unless I've missed it) how long did you entered itv comps before winning? I've been doing it non stop for 2 weeks. Hope I don't need to wait years before winning!

Thanks SAX11 - when did you start entering and when did you win (assuming you have)?

I read on another thread where one person entered only once and won after a few weeks.

There are so many winners who have mentioned winner through the online route and entering all in one go but nobody has mentioned how long it took from starting to enter itv comps to actually winning... Any other winners able to answer..?

i havent won - not even after a biggie either - just a couple of grand would do me

in answer to your question there is no timescale to winning - it's all in the luck of the draw

For the bigger ones the average might be a win about once every 3,000 years so the average wait would be around 1,500 years. For the smaller ones the average wait might be around 80 years but within that there will be people who win more than once in a short space of time and some who don't win in 1,000 years.

(With 1 ticket for both lotto draws each week you would win the jackpot on average once in every 134,460 years)

Same here lol! A few grand would be a massive deal to me... I guess you're right about there being no time scale but still would be good to have a 'from entering to winning' idea. Some people have won more than once too.

Just wanted some actual WINNERS to answer this... mjm3346 - not a worked out anwser which I could have done myself! I'll rephrase my question.. can itv RD winners tell me how long it took from 'newly entering to actually winning'?

As mentioned above, we have had winners on here who've practically been newbies, and been lucky enough to have won in their first week or two of comping; we've had winners who've tried and tried for years and then cracked it, then (like most of us on here) there are those who've done every ITV comp for years and not won one! There is no formula about how long you've done it, it's just luck and random selection. If you go type "Real Deal" into the search box on this board (search this forum) then you will see some actual WINNERS posts.

In that case you should know it is random and there are people who won the first time they have entered all the way through to the vast majority who have never won. I could give information on my tv wins but it would make no difference to your chances of winning and would be meaningless information even if you had data on every losing entrant for the same competitions.

This thread is really for ITV winners to post their wins and you might be better posting in the compers chat corner.

I have a good reason for asking but it's too long to explain without going into an essay. I am simply asking WINNERS how long it took to win from when they started entering itv comps.
