BA flight price seem to fluctuate, when is the best time to book ?

Hi,

I am flying in march to mexico but every evening I check the price seems to fluctuate - is this normal ? (Perhaps because I need to change flights to a local airline ?) Can anyone confirm this for me please, I just want to make sure I'm not seeing things.. :)

So considering the constantly changing prices can you tell me when it is the best time to book ? how far ahead..

Thanks.

Airline fares change constantly. Airlines use a complex 'revenue management' system which is to maximise the yield from a flight. This may include prices rising as seats sell or dropping as it get closer to the date but there is no way to foresee so it is a gamble to book when you see a price you are happy with. Over time you may win some or lose some.

The trick is to book when it's lowest.

BA also still have a sale on, so be quick!
Try deleting your history file, the airlines seem to have a way of 'knowing' what flight you are pursuing and often the first price given is the best one.
