Ok, so when I go to do a factory restore disc it says i dont have enough room (obv). There is an option/button to click on "restore factory defaults", go for that?0
-
it will wipe all your data if you do that, have you backed it up?
enough room to create a disc? what's the exact message and what did you click on!!

So, I am clicking on create a factory default disc, once i do this it says insert a blank disc (even tells me that it will need 2 dDVDs). Once I enter a blank it says "there is not enough working space on your "D" drive...0

So if i back up to my external drive, then click the factory default restore. I presume that I am setting the laptop up from scratch? One point, when I click on the "restore system to factory default" it asks for a password grrrr...0

is d: drive your dvd writer?
have you created any other discs recently, ie does it work
you don't want to restore to factory default unless you are prepared to wipe/lose all your data
if you backup with macrium first, make sure it is readable before continuing, and create the macrium rescue cd
the password was probably set the first time you ran erecovery

Well technicaly the DVD drive is actually "E", and it says "D" (when it says that there isnt enough room) - there isnt a D. But when I am selecting the drive, it only comes up with "E" -figure that one out!0
