    This is why accessories such a SATA cables aren't required.
  • As you still need a replacement motherboard, why not buy one of the same make and model as the non working one (if they are still available anywhere) and send off the unwanted bits from that purchase.

    When you get your replacement unit from ebuyer, you simply sell it or keep it as a spare.

    I realise this process would not be the norm, and they are in no way obligated to do it, however it is a solution that would satisfy both Ebuyer and the OP.

    It just makes more logical sense.
