Premier Parking Solutions, do I have to pay PCN fine?

if not legal proceedings could be issued.....
PPS are asking for the payment in full £130, and only then that will prevent them from taking further action.
It absolutely does NOT say that !!!!! It says they "MAY" take legal action.
I "MAY" wake up with Kelly Brook on one side of me, and Miranda Kerr on the other !
Paying isn't the only thing that will prevent further action - so will ignoring them and their fake invoices. All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -
Thanks for the advice, but I have just paid them the full £130 plus £50 for the paper its written on.......only kidding.
Thank you for the help with this, hopefully I wont end up in court.
I am disgusted with how the DVLA can give out (sell) such personal confidential information!!!!!0 -
Here is the current forum, happy reading. At least read the first 20 or 30 threads (not the Park Right thread) and you'll soon get it. Of course it's a scam!:

I have read numerous threads and stuff about these private parking companies and have ignored one such letter sent to us from a company who took our cars photo going in and out of the car park outside the 3 hours allowed and nothing has come of it however my 17year old stepson recently got one from this company (PPS).
He had parked his electric scooter in a section between two car spaces (the car spaces were on a curve and there was a triangle created between them and he parked in this).
He had bought a ticket although it was off the vehicle by the time he came back (as it was a bike it was probably taken or was blown off). He received a "PCN" for both not having a ticket and for not parking in a marked bay (although the triangle was surrounded by white lines so who was to say that this was not a space!!).
Unfortunately he lives with his mother and was advised to appeal which he did and of course got an e mail back saying his appeal was rejected!! He had given them his address and details. He is in the middle of his A levels and of course does not need the stress of this.
I was wondering what the best course of action is. I am trying to prepare a letter that basically says that they will not get any payment and to stop e mailing and write to him at our address so that we can open the letters (and then bin them!!) or has some liability already been made by the first letter of appeal?
The company website claims to have had many succesful CCJ's in their favour and warns of believing sites like this (MSE was mentioned by name I think). They particularly made me mad by making my stepson think that if he did appeal to POPLA then he would not only have to pay the £100 already charged but a further £100 if he lost. I read the wording of the e mail and it did indeed sound like that would be the case which I now know of course is wrong.0 -
Paragraphs would help!
but otherwise, just ignore them - The letters are still as predictable and laughable as ever!0 -
Thank you !
Edit done to break it up a bit!!!
I just didn't want him to get the letters as I think they may freak him out a bit or his mother may panic and insist he pays. I wondered if replying to them and saying he had changed his address and then I can deal with them!.0 -
Your 17 year old step son cannot legally enter into a contract, tell them if you wish because if they continue to pursue they are breaking the law and should be reported to the dvla, trading standards, bpa , and the oft if they involve debt collectors. They must stop its that simple. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Yes I would do that, but make it quite naive and believable.
Get him to write a second 'appeal' in the same style, asking for the POPLA code (if not already supplied) and saying ''please reconsider the matter as I am 17, and I did pay and display so there has been no loss caused - except for the loss of the ticket someone must have removed from the scooter once it was unattended.'' Finish by saying ''I am now living at the following address and look forward to hearing from you as this needs to be resolved''.
Then when they reject again (99% certain) YOU can file all the letters!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
