Hi,
What if somebody stayed 1 hour over their paid time in a PPS carpark, should they still pay?0 -
at best all you would owe is the 1 hour over ie proabably about a £1 or there abouts

Woah steady on!!!
What you have is a speculative invoice, private companys can not issue fines or penalties, only the land owner can claim for any genuine losses caused by your parking.
if the figure demanded is more than any genuine loss then its un enforcable.
How much do they want?
what does it say on the ticket?
have you had a letter in the post?
and to answer the original question
is it a fine? does it say fine? and as for the do i have to pay the answer is no.Premier Parking Solutions, do I have to pay PCN fineFrom the Plain Language Commission:

A letter was sent in the post today, 2 months after the day of the PCN. Original PCN was for £100, but if paid within 14days reduced to £60. The PCN is now £130 if paid within 14days, if not legal proceedings could be issued.....
There are images of the car and a payment ticket from a parking machine on the letter, however the info on the image of the :(ticket is not very clear?
PPS are asking for the payment in full £130, and only then that will prevent them from taking further action.0 -
Just ignore nowt will happen.
They won't go to court.
End ofFor everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
What is further action ?
More of what they have done already ?
Do you honestly think if the could take you to court they would waste a single second of time with stupid letters ?
We are talking about vicious money grabbing scam artists, they would send one letter, one letter before action an straight to court.
The reason they dont is because, they get thrown out of court for trying it on, everybody googles the firm and finds out they were made a laughing stock.
Why do you think they have to keep changing names ?
Relax, you are in the middle of a mail scam.
They will send fake debt collectors and fake solicitors letters next, again full of more threats to scare the foolish to part with hard earned cash.Be happy...;)0 -

So was it a pay and display car park?
how long was your overstay?
ok, lets say it was a privately owned/operated pay and display car park, and you overstayed by 30 minutes.
where is this car park, as £100 for 30 minutes is a very expensive rate, and possibly quite time consuming if the P&D machines only take coins. From the Plain Language Commission:

For some pretending not to know, you use all the correct abbreviations of the trade in the right places ?
Is this where you come and tell us they took you to court and sold your kids to slave traders ?Be happy...;)0
