nokia 6288 on three contract

just got my nokia 6288 through this morning on a 3 monthly contract but was dissapointed that it rejected all my other network sims and my other phone rejected the 3 sim card... so will a 3 contract sim only work with a 3 phone??? and can the 6288 be unlocked to all networks?
plz help

"3" phones are always locked to their network. For nokia 6288, I dont think you can get it unlock easily, it has to be done by "3".
"3" will only supply you the unlock code after you have completed 11 month of the contract, and they charge £15.0 -

correct. these phones are BB5 handsets and can only be unlocked by the network provider0 -

you can put the 3 sim card in another unlocked 3G phone. It should work.0
