My bid to bust that mortgage

Sorry must also say...
My employer has over paid me bank holiday for Xmas and new year by £250 and still not taken back so that looms...
This month they put my mileage through incorrectly and has overpaid me, which will also need repaying, this looms....
And I increased my hours by 2.5 hours per week 1st April but they haven't managed to do this change. So I am owed 20 hours money.
How rubbish are they at their job and when will it ever end!!!
I shall remind my boss to sort out my hours today before I break up for a weeks holiday and let the rest sort itself out.
Got jam making gear for my birthday (I know I can use a normal saucepan and a saucer but you have to have a pressie once in a while). Hoping when I get home from holiday to make elderflower champagne and cordial using new gear.
All plants grown from seed and out - toms, squash, cucumbs, aubergine, beetroot, spinach, moulie, radish, rocket, beans and chard. Top tip if you ask the garden centre they are happy to sell broken bags compost (big huge bags that only a burly man can lift) taped up for a knock down price to get rid of it. I got 3 of those really big ones for £2.50 each and have done all my growing, 5 hanaging baskets and used 1!!! Result.
Oh yes also got rid of decking and nice man made me a new chicken run and raised veg bed with wood from it!!! I like a bit of recycling. Chicken run just cost me new wire (v expensive £65.00 but the ladies live in paradise now so who can put a cost on suc lux that and I needed no more free ranging the whole garden cos of my tender plants and very hungry girls)

Well I have continued to pay £150 per month and I am really happy that I have overpayed £1067 this year so far.
Odd year, garden is beautiful I have lots of tom plants too many coming along really well, green beans which we are eating every other day, courgettes and chard. Aubergine look lovely and flowering but too late I think. So that is all good. Hanging baskets need a trim but are fab too.
I was ill in June and ended up in hospital, not returned to work yet but am next week. Have told then I need to return to 4 days a week. I am not sure how I will continue my overpay but I am sure I will. I cannot cope with house, kids and full time job on my own because I just felt physically and mentally exhausted and I ended up getting really ill cos of it so it must cease. Not sure boss is so sure about my decision but there we go. I have done the numbers and I can manage. Numbers on paper are never quite like real money though, are they? or is it just me?
Still really trying to get food shopping under control. A$da one week and L£dls the next. I plan my dinners, write lists but I think shopping costs are horrendous.
Oh made jam whilst off work sick. Cherry (from Mums tree), raspberries and strawberries from pyo and really have made enough for us for this year. Fancy a couple of jars to plum so might go to the market to see if there are some nice plums around, I could do with getting back to work and an old gentlman offering me a bag of his victoria plums from the garden just because they are just delicious. I normally get offered cooking apples and eggs and runner bean plant for the kids to plant. But no plums - so market it is....
No news really. Very pleased with my overpays. Have set up DD so don't have to waste a stamp now.
Have sorted out my childcare for summer hols without paying child care as back to wk next week. Just a bit of exchanging kids.
Righto, bye for now xxxDebt Sept 2012 £140,000 end age 65.5 (maximum) four mortgages in total

Hello again all. Long time since I logged in but still I am trundling away. I did meet my target for £1800 overpay last year and am thinking about upping (obviously with reduced income !!!:))
I think I will aim to pay off £2500 extra this year which is £200 each month and a bit (£100 extra from Tillies Tidies), My main thrust is getting rid of the money I took out of house to get rid of ex husband, I don't mean the capitol I brought him out with but the £5500 I borrowed so he'd leave!!!! Stupid cow but there we are. I put it on my mortgage over 25 years at 4.59% interest rate the balance is about £3800 so I can have that licked in 1.5 years surely.
Will update for 2013 prperly then put best foot forward ....Debt Sept 2012 £140,000 end age 65.5 (maximum) four mortgages in total

So last jar of raspberry jam started yesterday... will do jam making again this year and growing plants and veg from seed. Have started aubergine off and toms and chillies so far. Chickens are just laying, had 6 eggs this week, saved for weekend to celebrate the greatness of the chicken at breakfast tomorrow
.
Kids start secondary school in Sept so lots of expense but I can also see a reduction of child care costs on the horizon too and they are fab and it is too bad cos it is what it is...
I don't really spend very much money at all. I seldom go to the shops except when necessary. I plan my meals, shop in L**ls and only buy clothes when necessary. My main expense is petrol and this is work related (so I have to really as they are good enough to pay me!).
Was considering a new job/challenge but think I am going to work hard but chill in post for next 18 months whilst I get kids established. My kids are still for the main part wearing hand me downs - will end soon but not moaning at present!!!
Was ill in Summer and only jut back to full strength so haven't done any extra work just trying to stretch my cloth to make it fit.
Maintenance from ex will be dropping by £50 a month (lets not eh), but still this year I vow to do better, try harder, make more, have more fun, spend less and really enjoy what I have, not what I haven't. And want to make my own booze... watch this space my amigos...

Thank you, I will take you up on that one day. I did family ticket at what we call cheapy Tuesday. Nice to do something that involves money don't want the kids to think I am physically unable to part with money.
Trying to use the Power the attract more money by being a bit freer with with it i.e. let it out see if it will come back with some of its more money buddies - we will see if this works....
