  • Although I didn't win a book - she did say yes. I secretly flew out to see her and surprised her. All her family and friend were in on it with me and it will be a day I never forget. Now all we have to do is decide on a date and get some of the MSE tips into operation ;D

    Hi,

Received this book (after a while LOL!), and it is excellent - really sets things out very clearly for you. I am not remotely 'arty crafty', but everything is explained in very simple steps and makes home-made invitations, cake decoration, jewellery design etc. seem completely achievable.

Also focuses on the positive (personal satisfaction, control) elements of doing a wedding on a budget - definitely gives the feeling that if this couple (small flat) can do it, anyone can.

Many thanks, it will be very useful in the run up to my wedding.

Now ................ off to start making invitations!! ;D

  • Woohoo, :D got my book last week and have already started putting into practise some of the ideas - especially a cake for each table as decoration and then the sweet, great idea! My mum's not so happy about the extra cakes, but secretly pleased I think.

The sections are all well written and concise and the pictures are clear too. The budget section of it is also very useful for those things you had no idea about!!

So thank you very much for the book, it's great! ;D
