K750i - Got dual sim adaptor working but phone keeps re-booting itself

After some difficulty I've finally managed to squeze my dual sim adaptor into my K750i and the device is working.

However when I change to the other sim in the new menu, the phone pauses for about 10-15 seconds after which the network operators name changes in the main screen but then the phone suddenly decides to re-boot itself.

The re-booting is quite frustrating as the phone is virtually switching itself off then back on again (except skipping the Sony-E and network operators logo screens). Upon booting up again I am again asked to choose Phone Language then in the next screen I get prompted by the stupid Setup Wizzard.

I am finding this quite annoying as these adaptors are being sold under the understanding that "you do not need to switch off the phone" and the changing of sims is often taking upto 2 minutes in total which kind of defeats the whole object really.

Q. Is this normal that the phone should re-boot every time you switch sims?

Q. Also is there any way to avoid being prompted to choose Phone Language and by the Setup Wizzard on startup?

The item I paid for was one of these yellow ones:

But the one I actually received was in a Blue packet entitled Hyper card / Wisdom sim card, though they both seem to look like pretty much the same thing.

every time i change the sim in any of my SE phones, i have to select the phone language and i get the prompt for the setup wizard. i haven't found a way to disable them.

the reason why the phone may be rebooting, is that it may be getting confused when the sims are being changed.

I also had the same problem. There is a setting on the dual sim menu that allows the phone to keep rebooting. Uncheck this setting and your problem will be solved.

Which menu do you mean? The only menu in there you can check/uncheck is the one that says "Auto/SW" and altering that appears to do absolutely nothing when changing sims whether its checked or unchecked the phone still crashes then re-boots.

There is another part of the menu you can reach after you click "Set" that says "SW Time:03" I've tried altering the 03 to various other two digit numbers but again this appears not to affect anything.

will this dual sim adapter work with my new N95?? is there enough room for it in the case or not?

comments wopuld be appreciated from anyone who is currently is using it with the n95

If you go to the dual sim menu in the phone, the ABTO function will have a star next to it. Just click on ABTO and this will sort out the problem.
