Help me choose a smartphone

Options
Hi all - I'm currently in the middle of a 24 month O2 contract and I want to replace my current handset. I have an HTC Salsa & there's nothing wrong with it per se, but I am frustrated at the lack of internal memory and its inability to download any apps even onto an SD card. Mea culpa and all that, I should have researched more thoroughly.

So I'm going to buy an O2 PAYG phone as a replacement until my contract comes up at the end of this year. My budget is around £200 and my requirements are:

Android (pref ICS but Gingerbread will do)
Decent internal memory (say around 4GB) and the ability to download apps onto an SD card
4-5MP camera

I'm eyeing up the HTC Desire X but can anyone recommend alternatives?

Thanks.

In my Desire all apps that I downloaded are stored on the SD card.
For this I had the original OS (ROM) replaced with a custom one (CyanogenMod 7.2.0.1 in my case).

EDIT: as you have already sold you phone, then for the alternatives see http://www.gsmarena.com/search.php3

IMO, Desire X is overkill for your requirements as you can get what you want for £100:

A nexus 4 which i have is only £230 and its awesome!! Really fast phone mine only has 8gb but you can get it with 16gb for £270! Considering the iphone 5 is £599 out of the box and it is only 1.3ghz, 1gb ram seems crazy, when the nexus 4 has 1.5 ghz quad core, 2gb ram. Much faster and can handle a lot more apps at one time! Screen is bigger also and camera 8mp 1080p is very good!!
