I've had a mixture of New Look/H&M/Asda and a few bits from mothercare in the sale. I think all in all I was kitted out for around £100 (inc winter coat).
I was also quite lucky that I could still wear majority of my normal tops till around 25 weeks and I am still wearing my pre preg leggings.
I found Asda and New Look the best for bargains, jeans for £7 in the sale.
My SIL bought the next size up and then just wore a belly band but I found this uncomfortable so found investing in mat clothes invaluable. Not been impressed with my tiny wardrobe as I have masses of clothes normally but I know it's not for ever.I :heart2: saving money0 -
I picked up some maternity jeans and dungarees on eBay, then just got cheap tshirts in bigger sizes from the supermarket. I also got a swing type coat a couple of sizes bigger than usual.0

I had to wear black trousers to work when pregnant, I'm quite tall and couldn't find any that I liked in a maternity range, was getting desperate and felt like my trousers were cutting off my blood supply when at work I used to feel so faint and dizzy in the office, in the end I ended up with bump bands and then my colleague told me that she wears Marks and Spencer £10 black joggings bottoms to work lol they look just like proper trousers! Needless to say I was straight in M&S to get a pair, they come in a range of sizes and a range of lengths and I had never felt better in them at work! Now my problem is that I'm going to want to carry on wearing them when I go back in June! Congratulations and good luck, it's the best feeling in the world!0

I got mine on the selling pages on ebay and a bundle that a lady was giving away on one too, main staples for me have been a few 3/4 sleeve tops, 2 pairs of jeans and 3 black leggings to go with boots and so lose dresses i pull in with belts.0

I got away with minimal maternity clothes when I was pregnant. This was partly because I didn't get too big and also I didn't want to waste money on clothes I would only wear for a few months.
if you wear a baggy top, you may be able to get away with wearing your trousers undone. My aunt's trick was to hold the trousers together with a bit of string.
Wrap dresses and empire line tops (fitted on the bust and then loose underneath) can be worn after the baby is born - it may take you a while to get back into your normal clothes.
If you are with an OH, raid their wardrobe. I wore my OH's t-shirts at weekends. YOu could also borrow their jogging bottoms .
A work colleague told me that she didn't get a maternity coat, but she used her normal coat and threw a poncho on top.0 -
I found ebay good for for bits to wear to work.
For casual wear I have 2 pairs maternity leggings (New Look), one pair maternity skinny jeans (H&M) a selection of basic maternity vests in black, white, grey (H&M) and a few 'boyfriend cardigans' (New Look - normal range not maternity). I wear this legging / vest / cardie combo most days and dress up with scarfs. Minimal ironing and maximum comfort!0 -
Ive bought maternity bands and 2 jeans on Ebay, although the true is i am 38 weeks and still using my normal clothes( with band), 2 cardigans and a coat that i borrow from MIL.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0

ebay, ebay, EBAY! I bought quite a lot of new stuff when I was pregnant and it cost me a small fortune and I sold all of it on ebay for a fraction of the cost of what I paid for it. There are loads of bargains to be had and you're in those clothes for such a short time that there's very little point in spending a fortune on them!
Congratulations by the way!0 -
I've only bought a few maternity things so far (am 31 weeks tomorrow). Got a pair of maternity jeans (£15), a top (£3 in sale) and a hoody (£16) from New Look, and some leggings (£8) from H&M. I also bought a maternity coat from Bon Prix (£30, but found a £10 off voucher code online) which has been great for walking the dog. Otherwise I've been making do with pre-pregnancy clothes. Oh, and I've had to buy new bras too as my boobs went up a couple of cup sizes.
Obviously if you need to look smart for work you might need to buy more than me (I'm self-employed and work from home, so can get away with jogging trousers and t-shirts).0 -
I've got mine all from new look, red herring (debenhams) in the sale and mothercare.
I would say the best thing you could get if you are anything like me is the stretchy bump bands, I got 3 in a set from new look for about £10, and that way i can still wear my normal jeans, with the button un-done. I also bought a mens x-large (im a size 16) hoody from asda for about £10 and thats done me the whole way through too. I personally wouldnt get any from ebay but thats just my personal preference.
