chaps,

I'm currently on my 2nd 2 year contract with vodafone and never had a problem with them, probably because nothing ever went wrong, and the reception in my house, and pretty much anywhere I go, has always been pretty good.

In Nov i started noticing I couldnt get reception in my house, bar some tiny areas in my house as stated this has never happened before.

So i approached a local vodafone shop who gave me a new sim card hoping this would solve the issue however it made no difference.

Due to work and other issues over xmas I just accepted the issue with hoping I would get a chance to look into it in the New Year.

So today i went into my closest vodafone store only to be told this was an ongoing issue in my area and it was approx 2 months in and they still hadn't found a solution to the problem so I asked what I was supposed to do about the problem and their helpful advice was to put up with it till its sorted, great!

Sorry this is long but Im really after some direction here as, previously stated, ive always been happy with vodafone but I really dont want to stay with them if I cant get reception in my home.

There is Vodafone Sure Signal, but if it's a temporary problem you are unlikely to get it for free. It works through your broadband connection.

cheers, im aware of sure signal.

the thing is my primary concern is not being able to use my phone indoors but having sure signal wont help when im round a mates house in the same area which has been experiencing the same problems for over two months with no solution in sight.

i've dropped vodafone an email today but im sure the word temporary will crop up again from their response.

    Hi phatbear,

Thanks for making me aware of your concerns.

To enable us to assist you further I'd initially recommend following the guidance in the Network Issues thread on our eForum which can be found in the Network section. Unfortunately, I'm unable to link you to it due to the posting guidelines which company reps are obliged to follow.

As you've also emailed us could you let me know your email reference number from our automated reply so I can get matters followed up for you?

    Kind regards,
