morning all,
We have snow too:j, Oh bought me a cuppa in bed, and told me, so I had to get up and have a look, its not too much, but still coming down, it makes everything look so pretty.
Need to drop dd at work this morning, which will be interesting as we are rural anyway, but her work is even more so.
Will come back and lock myself in the office, I have a lot of work to catch up on.
Going to try to make some dough in the kitchenaid today, will try a loaf and rolls. Dinner tonight is lamb breast, with roasties and veg, had some chicken legs from asda yesterday, and I have to say I was not impressed, they were free range, but really tough, todays meat is from there too, so if this is bad I will complain, and be off back to tesco.
Take care in the snow everyone, and if you can put some food and water out for the birds xx0 -
Morning all.
We've had a dusting of snow overnight. It's snowing lightly at the moment, but I think it's just a shower.
My first task this morning is to walk down to the post office with my eBay parcels, just in case the weather gets worse. Although, I'll probably do another run later, as I have people still haven't paid. But if the weather does close in, at least the bulk of the parcels will have gone.
On the agenda today is housework and decluttering of a cupboard.
We have haddock for dinner tonight, with veg.
I'm hoping the snow does hold off, I have my supermarket delivery at 6pm tonight. I can cope if it doesn't arrive, but it'd be nice to be fully stocked up.
Hope everyone with aches and pains feels better soon, and be careful if you are out and about.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Monring all, just a light dusting of snow. enough to make the countryside look pretty, but not enough to cause any problems on the roads.
Off to a meeting about my son. the new area he has moved into have a 'Health Passport' system and we are meeting the bloke to start one of those for my son. Hope the bloke has allowed plenty of time! quicker to tell him what's not wrong with my son! Will stay and spend some time with my son and then back here to work.
Horrid cold has been followed by a migraine.........great. Am trying to keep it manageable with painkillers from doctor but they make me a bit spaced out so it's a balancing act.
Left over HM chicken casserole for tea tonight. Probably a sandwich for lunch. not sure yet.
There's a social evening at my textile group tonight and hoping to make it to that as they are a fabulous group of ladies and really talented. Will depend on whether there's more snow and how well the painkillers work.

Morning All,
After saying no snow here in Hastings it is coming down really thick:eek::snow_laug
Still, it is supposed to melt and sun for the rest of the week, but really cold. I have only got to go out Weds to the hospital, so I'll stay warm till then.
Found out on Facebook on Friday that a lady I used to work for has lost her husband. They were only married five years after living together for 20. He was not well, rushed to hospital and died after an op. I was so shocked, and didn't know what to say to her.:A
M & S liver & bacon for dinner. Used up the last of my free vouchers. I've made those vouchers go really far.
Went to the cinema yesterday. Saw "Quintet". It was really lovely. however it was a bit odd hearing Dame Maggie Smith saying the "f" word!:rotfl:

Morning all
No snow here
I'm still off work, and so bored! My work friend came for tea last night and stayed over, I was so tempted just to go to work with her this morning! I'm back in on Thursday so not too long to wait. Not sure what to do today. Need to finish off cleaning the bedrooms, may go meet my friend for a coffee later.
OS wise - bedroom to tidy, laundry to go away, WM on with towels, rubbish put out, stuffed peppers to cook (all prepped ready).

Nasty white stuff on the ground outside.:( It made poo-picking the garden this morning "interesting"; I borrowed Mr LW's wellies, just in case I found the poo the hard way.:rotfl: Or more accurately, the soft and squishy way.:eek::rotfl::rotfl:
Jessie's gone home now, but there may be a couple of bookings in the near-ish future; I'll get an email when dates/times are confirmed. Both dogs mentioned have been here before - a choc Labrador, and the little JR cross with a "wee" problem (so I'll need to save my newspapers up if she's coming).:D It's not her fault though - her bladder's weak, due to her age, bless her. There's not a bad bone in her.:o
Poor old Mr LW has caught my cold; he dosed up with a L3msip this morning and has gone to work as usual.
We have some packets of instant soup and tea bags, and a bar of choc in a plastic box in the car, and he's taken a flask of hot water so he can use the soup and/or tea should he get stuck travelling (work is 30 mines from home) - if he doesn't need it, we can use the water for tea or washing up tonight. There's a blanket that lives in the car anyway (for putting across my knees in the wheelchair if it's cold) and he made a judgement call not to take the shovel today.
Pain-free vibes for all who, like me, are adversely affected by the weather.:o
Stay warm and safe, everyone.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
