Fenwicks will deliver free of charge take away the old appliance and if you ask they will also take away the packaging of the new appliance if they have the time0

well the point i was trying to make was why do in store charge £24 delivery for next day delivery when by my ordering online i got next delivery free. internet ordering is obviously the way forward rather than going into a shop and ordering
Online doesn't always have free next day. It's a special thing they do every so often - Will come off soon.Fenwicks will deliver free of charge take away the old appliance and if you ask they will also take away the packaging of the new appliance if they have the time
Items are usually unpacked on the van so no rubbish but yes that's correct.0 -

yes but only if they have the time. We got a washing machine from them, then turned up at 9am ( first del. of the day) they took the old one way, but had no time to unpack the new machine.
It's advertised in store and also online. You can ask them to take the packaging away and they will oblige.0 -

Ah you see we were talking about Currys. You meant a company called Fenwick - That's different.
Currys / PC World will unpack and remove packaging & remove and recycle old items as part of their delivery run.0 -
Just discovered the same problem yesterday. I wanted a new washing machine and if I'd ordered it online, I could have it delivered in two days, for free.
But... I can buy Curry's vouchers with 10% off their face value and these vouchers can only be used in store. So I bought the washing machine in store. The earliest they can do a delivery for free is 2 weeks later. And even if I pay £26 for next day delivery, it is still a "all day delivery". Whereas I could have booked an four hour slot for £10 if I had ordered online.
This is purely a price discrimination thing IMHO. They probably figured that people who go in to store are either holding vouchers, or are pretty desperate. I have nothing to complain apart from that I were a bit shocked when I was in store and the SA showed me the delivery dates/charges on a screen I almost fell over. £26 is almost half of what I have saved by ordering those vouchers.
Someone above talked about getting a 5% off if ordering over a certain value of goods... I would love to find out how.0
