Well that's a wrap . Just paid the final £1500,my balance now reads zero:beer:

I cannot actually close the mortgage until May without incurring early repayment fees, however may as well keep the facility open for instant access to cheap borrowing? Nice problem to have

I'd like to thank everyone who has chipped in with support. When I was paying 2k a month the only tangible thing I got for my money was seeing a number go down and kind words on here:T:
Amazing how keeping a simple diary can be so motivating .

It feels like I havnt got a care in the world financially. Job secure , mortgage free and good pension. Life options have really opened up and I intend to make the most of it. It's a good feeling
