Just broke my new phone!!
So I bought a new phone to treat myself about 2 weeks ago, it's the HTC ChaCha, cost me £119.99.
I dropped it on concrete and now the side is all broken and exposed, the volume rocker does not work and I have no signal 99% of the time.
If I put it on eBay for parts il get 20 quid if im lucky, does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?
Really gutted right now

Ask how much the repair can be? If it's just the body, it can be surprisingly cheap.
Check your home content insurance if you have it?0 -
I'm going to get a quote on it tomorrow, however, I have a feeling there are too many problems and the repair will be very costly if even possible.
Don't have home content insurance, would it be worth asking someone who does?0 -
What, asking them to commit fraud you mean? If you like.
More sensible option would be to get a repair quote, and if it's a no go then I think it's a case of sucking it up and taking better care/insuring your next phone.0 -

That's one hell of a drop to do so much damage, but no don't be asking someone to fraudenently claim on their policy, £120 is £120 but it's not the end of the world.0
