What makes a good flushing toilet? serious enquiry before u laugh
When we moved our bathroom we replaced our appliances including a good old siphonic WC. New washdown WC nothing like as efficient and much noisier. I understand that its down to regulations limiting cistern capacity to 6 litres. This means nice quiet efficient siphonic WC's are apparently no longer available as they need about 8 or 9 litres per flush and so we have to put up with new noisy inefficient washdowns which often need double or treble flushes. Progress!
Does anyone know if it is possible to get a siphonic WC?
Ahhhhh the days of the 'double trap siphonic'.......now those things could really flush !!!!
As you say its the water limit of 6 litres that is the problem with many modern toilets it just does not seem to be enough.

I don't know how the new regulations can be economical when you have to flush so many more times!
I find all the new toilets are now crap the only ones with a decent flush are the old style with more water.
