.............its probably a badly designed toilet Pan.
This is a possibility.........
Could be an imperfection in the waterway around the rim of the pan causing the flush not to be effective.....
Obviously as the pan had been fitted for three years now the manufacturers or supplier wouldnt be interested now
You may have to go for a new pan.......
And I am guessing it is close coupled... so you will probably need a new cistern as well.........
Another option would be to try a Turbo 88 syphon.... might give you a more effective flush

I know Plumb Center kepe these syphons but I am not sure if any of the DIY stores stock them0 -
yes it is close coupled-so u dont think its syphon? or amount of water thenrockin_plumber wrote: »This is a possibility.........

as rockin plumber has said try the dudley. however increasingly we come across this as with the new 6 ltr regs many manufacturers did not redesign the pans and so the flushing is if you forgive the pun !!!!!!.
there are properly designed wcs out there but of course design etc if you give me an idea of size and style i may be able to help. but best bet is its a pan designed for 7/9 ltr so the easy solution would be the dudley 88 but this will use much more water. at the mo we are having 2.5/4ltr prototype made so they can flush with less water0 -
We moved house recently and our toliet is terrible at flushing particularly on number 2's. It used to be worse as toliet handle would come off often and it would take ages to fill up. We got BIL whos a plumber fix the handle and flow but its still bad for flushing and it doesnt take as much water as our old fashioned loo did. Its a fairly modern toliet and a unsually container where water fills up.0

as a test just-i took lid of cistern and whilst holding hand over top of overflow pipe i filled it up so it couldn't hold anymore water without it flowing out of fixing holes at back, then flushed it with a suitable amount of loo paper in pan-and yes does seem to flush much better-so will pop to town and buy a new overflow pipe so i can install it extra long inside-and see how that goes on-thanks folksas rockin plumber has said try the dudley. however increasingly we come across this as with the new 6 ltr regs many manufacturers did not redesign the pans and so the flushing is if you forgive the pun !!!!!!.

When we moved our bathroom we replaced our appliances including a good old siphonic WC. New washdown WC nothing like as efficient and much noisier. I understand that its down to regulations limiting cistern capacity to 6 litres. This means nice quiet efficient siphonic WC's are apparently no longer available as they need about 8 or 9 litres per flush and so we have to put up with new noisy inefficient washdowns which often need double or treble flushes. Progress!
Does anyone know if it is possible to get a siphonic WC?0 -
economiser this is just not correct. if you buy a properly designed wc you will get a nice quiet single flush that evacuates everything as efficiently as any old wc. the problem is that many are not specified correctly and many people do not understand them0
