Dreaded DLA came and ......

Following on from This post I received THE letter from DLA on Saturday morning. Now I've always been told that DWP and HMRC also send out bad news letter to arrive on the Saturday so you cannot phone them up on the day bawling and shouting,

Like my thread mentioned before even though I'd been told over the phone it looked likely I was to be awarded DLA there was still a chance that the person on the phone had made a mistake.
So I opened the letter slowly then looked..
I actually felt like crying (with happiness) they'd kept my awards the same.
I cannot tell you how happy it made me feel.
Of course they have said it is indefinitely but as we know PiP is replacing DLA soon so I'll come to that bridge when I get there but at this moment I'm happy.

It's such a relief. We also received word last week that the dd has been awarded it for another year. Now only if we could sort out the ESA (in process).

Well done, I'm sure it's a big weight off your mind :)

Can I ask who told you this please? People really need to stop spreading such rumours, they are not helpful at all (and you have proven it is untrue).

Excellent news Andrew! :j Isn't it wonderful when you find you were not given the wrong info on the phone!

Now don't worry in advance about PIP, just enjoy basking in your pool of relief!:)

    xx
