Gcse Study Leave

    There has never been study leave at my school. The students come into lessons as normal until they take the exam. After that they don't come in any more for that subject, so their timetable gradually reduces. The only subject which finishes when the first exam starts is PE.

    I think as from next year all schools will have to have all students in school for education until the last day of term in July. They will have normal lessons - some sort of college transition course. Perhaps this is to keep them off the streets during the summer term. I suspect many will vote with their feet. (I stand to be corrected on this as I may have dreamed it)
    Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
    My DD might make the odd post for me
