White leather sofas - any success stories?

Cream suites were very popular and now white ones have become the fashion. It us an ever changing market.
Looking after your leather suite us crucial whatever the colour but cream and white suites do suffer from dye transfer. Dark suites do too but you cannot see the problem on dark leather.
There are very good products that can be used to protect pale coloured leather which will prevent it from suffering from dye transfer. The protectors also make them much easier to keep clean.
Hope this helps

White or Cream looks really great, but the hell, it ain't practical.
If you want something the kids and every day folks can use then fine, but remove all crayons/felt tips and nail varnish plus the stuff grandad uses from the area.
Also check kids have velcro shoe fasteners, not buckles or press studs.
Also all jeans and belts need a once over.
Family lounge use? No , show room Yes, there is a choice to be made.
Keep it for the guest room, the snooker room.
And don't overlook the fact that it will look crap when you come to sell it whereas a decent brown leather will retain much more value. MSE remember?:money::money:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

Yep, as per opening post, that is what it's for. I wouldn't consider it for the lounge, anywhere with food, or if I had kids or animals.0 -
I have a white leather sofa, but I cover the seats and back with a throw. Everything in the room is white or pale mushroom, and I change the colour of the throw, rug, and pictures periodically to ring the changes.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

I have a pair of cream sofas and within a week they were stained by a leather belt I was wearing. The marks were impossible to get off. Big cushions now hide the marks! For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

My cream leather sofas are nearly 12 years old, and look brand new. That is mainly because no-one ever sits on themValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hmmm I was hoping for some good news, but the consensus does seem to be that it's a stupid idea.
Oh well, back to the drawing board.

I have a white leather sofa, very smart and .. i use it to sit on! my cats run around on it too, yes it gets scratched and shows the dirt so then i clean it. I have a black leather one too which doesn't show the dirt so is probably filthy. The sofa serves the purpose it was made for and that is why i bought it. :beer:0

Ive got cream colour sofas and armchairs in 2 rooms, we have 2 small dogs who also sit on the sofas/chairs, and ive got grand children , I rub mine over with a damp cloth and little fairy liquid when grubby, then once a month or 2 I use a leather spray polish..........
They come up nice and wear very well. leather is good and easy to clean and dry off very quick.......
I know people have dark colours so not to show the grime , but with dark furniture , you never even bother to clean them, imagine how dirty some peoples furniture is, and then you sit on them.........0
