I don't think you were being Sarcastic AT ALL

OK...Now I'm confused...were *you* being sarcastic when you wrote this?

galangm8 was clearly being sarcastic...so I'm not sure if the above is a sarcastic response to him claiming not to have been sarcastic, or genuine cluelessness re: his sarcasm.

    All getting a little befuddling.

Just for future reference, sarcasm doesn't often work great on the internets, so either avoid altogether or use </sarcasm> or an emoticon, as galangm8 did...

Wooooowwww here's the real you coming out!

Your'e taking that sort of stance with a complete stranger, when you are the one who said you are going to pay thousands here, thousands there just to make sure your ex and YO~~UR child are 'looked after'...and now your your loosing your rag with me....what will happen when ex falls in love with Mr blah or you fall in love with Mrs blah....knew it was too good to be true, wouldn't like to be on the end of that...

You need to get a life pal, what kind of response do you expect to get when you go around spewing out accusations like that!!
Where have i said i am going to pay thousands here and thousands there....? sure i want to make sure they are ok, why wouldnt i?

to many what if's & what happens when....on here, you cross those bridges when you come to them simple as that you cant go making decisions now based on what may or might not happen in the future, deal with it when it happens!!

are you for real, a f*****g scam!!! you call a family splitting up a scam!!!
For your information i am the one who has got my business up and running, nothing to do with my ex, she has merely had to sign the odd peice of paper now and again.

What, she never even done anything to help.....lazy b*itch!!

There must have been sh**e all over the house if she wasn't caring for your daughter properly:eek: and you still want to leave your daughter in her care and pay her £1000pm maintenance:think:

I never said she had done nothing to help, i said she has had no involvement in the Company.

Has your business increased exponentially since the last accounts?

I think you really need to help us understand:

    1) Why a company that pays such a good dividend to a 20% shareholder is only worth £5k.

    2) Why paying CSA on top of the dividend is untenable for you, given that you, presumably get around £4k/month out of this business....

To be honest, those two questions combined make the whole situation feel more than a little fishy.

    Hi OP,

Any further light you can shed on these?

No my business has remained constant for the last two years.

My company has very little assets, with just enough money in the accounts to cover operating costs month by month. Myself and ex partner took out maximum dividend every month as this was required to cover living costs bills etc
Yes my dividend is in the region of £3.5 - £4k each month, the cost of the mortgage and associated house insurances etc comes in at £1.5k a month, other bills and your speaking about another £1.5k every month, then what was the figure put out before £600? CSA would leave me with around £400.......

Right...so you'd rather wind up the company than survive with "only" £400/month after all bills are paid?

...and I'd really be speaking to the accountant about how that valuation was reached...because it's just nuts, on the face of it...

of course i would, why would i leave myself with £400 while she gets at least 300% more than that. What would you do?

The company is worth what it is, i have no reason to question my accountants figures
  • But OP , you would have £400 left AFTER paying household bills and mortgage.

She would have to pay hers out of that money, and maintain 2 people on that whereas you will only have yourself.

But she's not going to wind up with 300% more, is she...because she has to pay rent, bills etc too...So she'll get £1600 from you in a month to live on, maybe 2k with her part time work...you'll have, say, £3400...If you end up with £400 left over, she should end up losing 1k each month, before anything's actually paid for the daughter.

What would I do? I'd thank my lucky stars. I could afford £1.5k/month on mortgage, pay the same in bills, pay to support my child...I'd be happy that (whatever you might think to the contrary), my ex had plenty of money each month to raise my daughter in a decent environment...and I'd still be able to save £400/month for a rainy day, holidays etc....which would put me massively ahead of the *vast* majority of the population.

So, if you had to sell, you'd be happy to get £5k for the thing...even though the dividend is worth that much in a month? Like I said before, it really sounds like something dodgy's going on for such a profitable company to be given such a ridiculously low valuation...

The whole point of discussion is that you can hear all sorts of opinions...

And my opinion from the last post is that you consider living on £400 a month absolutely absurd... Correct me if i am wrong...

However, when you look at what your bills are, and your mortgage etc, then you are not really living on £400 a month are, you are in actually fact living on £3,400 a month...!

So you see the perception of how some of your comments can be read...

Also i would point out, you would not be supporting her. Her share in the company would be supporting her though her "good fortune" or "your stupidity" whichever way you see it, it is really not fair on her, when you come across like she is the one trying to take all YOUR money.

Just try to think about what you say before typing, as it doesn't always come across the way you mean it, and if you really did send your ex the link to this thread you will be doing yourself no favours with that...
