How does Work Programme get it's money?

I have added the following to another thread...
I have just got off the phone with a friend of mine.
She is in tears after going through a similar issue.

Her ex has given some advice and I wonder if it would do any good?

    1. As they have misled a government body and as a result a person has been sanctioned or in any way had there rights abused would this in fact be a criminal matter.
If so could you report it as fraud or misfeasance?

    2. If you did lose out financially could you take them to small claims court. A magistrate would not look well on what in essence is a lie and if they try to carry the lie in a court it's perjury?

I think that in theory he may have something here, but it would take some balls to try.

Though I have advised my friend against this course of action (for now) I know little of the benefits system.

Could anyone give any advice how to get the cheeky little scamps back.

This thread may have answered this question, but any further advice would be nice.

She has stated that she in no way wants the work program to benfit in anyway. The link you provided seems very helpful.

To clarify, this would stop them getting paid if she found a job off her own back?
