I am quite tempted now. I thought the MP thing would do it, but they don't seem to be that bothered. Perhaps I should send them a letter and attach the CH4 correspondence!
    do it :):)

I wonder if the message hasn't been passed on from the JC to the provider but still your not obliged to give the details. Good luck getting them to stop.

Your best bet is to cease any and all communication with them. Don't respond in any way. They're trying to obtain a job outcome payment by hassling you for employment information when they clearly had nothing to do with your employment. If you tell them you're employed/self employed they'll fill that into their computer system and claim for a JOP. Once submitted, the DWP computer system simply performs an off benefit check then pays out. The system only checks (flags them for human intervention) a very tiny percentage of JOP claims for genuine jobs, something like 300 random out of a huge number. Mr Deveraux admitted it live on BBC Parliament when in front of Margaret Hodge.

When I left JSA and work prog, I cancelled the PAYG sim that I had in my spare phone, closed the free email address I had given them and when they sent letters along with the consent forms that I refused to sign for them, I simply didn't respond at all. Instead, I used the letters/forms as scrap paper then eventually shredded them. They gave up in the end. Haven't heard from them for over 6 months. I also didn't tell the job centre that I'd found work, I just handed in the booklet to sign off without giving a reason. This stops the JC from giving the employment details to work prog providers.

If the emails are coming from certain addresses, you can setup an email filter to auto delete their emails. You can also try blocking their phone numbers on your phone. If you do answer their phone calls, once you know it's them just put the phone down. I hope you didn't give them more than 1 phone number (especially landline) or email addy.

This is how they get £ and why they want everyone to sign the consent forms.

    Which is the key point.

You have given them consent to harass you to disclose employment information. You need to write to SEETEC and withdraw your consent.

Thanks for this - have already been through asking them to withdraw my consent; when I was at the WP I was asked to sign a leaflet which the guy said was just to confirm we were now participating on the programme. I knew about the consent form and was determined not to sign it, but I signed this as he just gave me the leaflet, told me to sign my name to say I had attended then whipped it away. Now I realise it must have been the consent form as I wasn't asked to sign anything else after that.

Workfare is not the same but the consent form is I am sure I have already said withdraw consent on here before.

As soon as I get a job (or maybe even sooner) I will withdraw consent.

Why not withdraw it now? Come to think of it, why did you sign the consent forms to begin with? Once you sign the forms there's always the possibility that they'll still use them anyway. Insist they give you the original forms back, don't accept copies.

I refused to sign the forms when I read them. Some of the things on those forms are really nosey and none of their business!

Asking is not sufficient, you need to write to them. Part 1 of the consent.me.uk template should be enough to withdraw consent once you have left the work programme.

"I write to confirm that I do not or no longer consent to [Provider's and or/Subcontractor's name] gathering or sharing my personal data, with any Third Party, for example an employer or another training provider, for the purpose of placing me into training/work and obtaining outcome-related payments from DWP, as there is no specific legislative “enabler” that gives [Provider's and or/Subcontractor's name] the Power to do this.

I confirm that I do not agree to any in-work support, contact with any employer or my progress in any employment to be tracked, including starting or leaving any job, for the purposes of [Provider's and or/Subcontractor's name] making any Sustainment Outcome payment claims to the DWP."

I had written to them and withdrawn my consent, this has been an ongoing problem with the WP, and why I did my nut when the JCP rang me up to say SEETEC want to know whether I am in work.

I have decided to write another letter saying it's harassment, include a copy of the form asking to withdraw my consent, and get my MP to send it to the WP.

It's such a faff, time waste and the cost of postage sending copies to all and sundry annoys me!!

I also can't work out what I signed, I was given a leaflet to sign which the man just wafted under our noses (there were only two of us as every one else was sensible enough not to attend). He said it was just to confirm we'd attended and we got the line about our benefits being sanctioned if not.

Was the consent form in a leaflet? It had various people gurning on the front of it, obviously terribly happy that they were now under the power of SEETEC.
