What does OH think? Seeing as your decision has a major effect on him too?

What does your OH feel about it?

OH invited but doesn't want to go. He says I should go as he doesn't mind staying in the house we are in for another year. We've already put deposit on hold once for him to buy a new car. I've been the main saver up till now because of the car.

Thank you for all your comments. I think I'll wait till my next visit and bring it up then, hopefully flight prices won't go up too much in the meantime (can't afford to buy the tickets yet anyway).

    Then go. And enjoy.

    Create some fantastic memories.

The house will wait...the ability to travel won't.

A house can always be ought in the future. Your relative wont be around for ever.

Don't get dragged into this obsession with buying a house. People are important, not a pile of bricks.

If you have a roof over your head - does saving for a 'better' roof mean more to you or does your relative?
