Ohhhh Casper what a lovely lady your landlady is!:T
I need to have a hunt around the OS boards, as I seem to have a glut of over-ripe bananas and I'm sure I read somewhere you could freeze them..... would only be for muffins, banana loaf, smoothies so should be OK I think.
Still struggling with my grocery spends:o - if I sit and work it out I probably have no budget for this week as I've already overspend on the month!
Now ... realistically, I'm not going to spend nothing as I will need crumpets / bread / milk at some point (and I've no ham for sandwiches!) - and probably veg as well....
Let's try:
Groceries: £0/£20
Misc: £0/£10
Total = £0/£30
I quite fancy a paper today - I do usually read them online but do miss the feel of the real thing IYKWIM so get maybe one a month ..... but do I really want to ruin a NSD just for a paper? mmmmmm (oh, wonder how much is in the surplus coin purse!

Hi tracye.
All you have to do is tell us what your budget is for your weekly spends, you can include as much or as little as you want. Then try and stay below that amount. And I can add you to the first post.
You can come back and post as much as works for you. Then just come back at then end of the week and let us know how you did.
This really helps me, I set my budget on a sat/ sun based on what my plans are and then just try and stay out of the shops.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
ETO, thanks for sorting this out :-)
I think I might change mine to remove the dh factor, and just do it for me. So if you don't mind, can you change mine to £15 please?
That really ups the ante for me then! In theory we have a fair amount of cash til the end of the month which I really really want to be able to put towards paying off the rest of butlins.
Good luck allFull time working mum to 2 boys

NSD for me. So good start to the week.
Went to make my spag bol which I've been promising myself all week. Felt really proud of my motivation then realised i hadn't got the meat out of the freezer. What a dope. But I wasn't spoiling a NSD for it, so having veg spag bol instead.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -

Just trying to get my head around it, but you are orange as you have made £110.
My working out is you had £10, spent £4, so £6 left, got given £114 which made £120, take out the original £10 and you are left with £110 profit. If that makes sense.
What a good week you've had and how lovely to be appreciated.
Thanks ETO for working it all out for me! Who knew it could be so confusing lol! I'm excited for you two seeing bab for 1st time on a scan! and as for the bed issue ~ I recently started having my huge bed to myself again and now (after 4 months) I love it! :rotfl:
Rising From The Ashes I know that I was lucky to find such a lovely landlady, I've read some horror stories on this site!
Had a NSD today! Jipee! Number 12 this month so far! Not great but there's still 11 days till payday so I might make my goal of 20 yet! With the help of this thread it's looking likely. Thanks everyone for the motivation.
Cheers
Casper
