Business vs personal mobile phone contracts

What's the difference between a business mobile phone contract and a personal one? If I start up a business, and want a mobile to use for that business, do I have to get a business contract or can I just choose any contract depending on price?

I've been googling all over the place but can't seem to find any definition of what a business contract is and why you might choose one over a standard personal one. Any advice would be gratefully received!

Generally, business accounts are negotiated with a supplier, who then nominates your own account manager. Supposedly better support and more resources to call upon if there is a problem.
The downside is you pay a bit more for it!
Nothing stopping you using a personal account for business use, but don't expect any help beyond a credit for rental if due to technical issues out of your control, you can't make or receive calls for a period of time. Unlikely, but it has happened.

You need to talk to a accountant, business accounts can be better tax wise, and you can also assign it as an asset to the business, if the business fails then the company is liable for any fee's personal accounts are that personal to you and not usually assignable to a business.
You may also find there are tax issues in claiming back expenses from a business for a personal tariff when the use is mainly business.

There are other advantages, business's can have continuity insurance, consequential loss insurance, guaranteed loan phone and so on, they all cost extra but these services are not normally available to personal contract holders.
