I was not impressed with the choice on offer at the Lidl instore bakery that I have seen nor the prices for that matter

Ours has just had a bakery installed. The salted pretzels are absolutely gorgeous and chocolate croissants the best I've had this side of the channel. Tiger bread is good and cheaper than Morrisons' and Tesco.
They bake throughout the day so always fresh.0 -
It's hard enough buying the bread they do have. They open after I've already started work - and when I pop in after work most of the bread items are already sold out. I had to keep going in for nearly 2 weeks before I could get one pack of their brioche rolls to try.0

That's a no go area for me too then..... I don't ever buy uncovered rolls/bread, never know who's coughed over them, or poked them, or dropped them.lizalloareds wrote: »my local Lidl has an instore bakery and it smells fab. The thing that puts me off is that all the products are uncovered0 -
Oh come on these are not proper bakeries, they are frozen bread items warmed up in a oven, far from a proper bakery !0

We have bought Lidl bakery items in France, they were very nice. Our Lidl had a refit last year but no sign of a bakery yet.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

don't think so, most big ones have a baker instore making fresh bread daily
Which supermarkets actually make fresh bread instore? Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Marks & Spencer all buy in part baked stuff from CSM then warm it up instore.
