Easyjet so-called speedy boarding?

Hi, I hope someone can help me here.
Last week me and my partner flew with easyjet, we had booked our flights in october and chose speedyboarding with our seats.
We were not treated as if we had speedy boarding at all.
I thought I would email them about it, and their reply was that they stopped with speedy boarding in december and that the £10 each extra that we paid was for our seats only. Funny that as it still plainly says on the easyjet website, and in the airports about speedy boarding, nothing about them not using it anymore though!
Is there anything I can do about this, as it must be some kind of mis-selling surely???
Thanks in advance

It's allocated seating now, no need for speedy boarding, you have your allocated seats and it won't go without you (if you're at the gate on time).
Your part of the plane will arrive & arrive at the same time as every else's.
Can I still buy Speedy Boarding?
No, you can no longer purchase Speedy Boarding separately However, passengers who:
have a Flexi ticket
are an easyJet Plus! cardholder, or
have paid to select either an Up Front or Extra Legroom seat
will still benefit from dedicated check-in and will be able to use Speedy Boarding to be among the first to board the aircraft. .0 -

I did this, but it didn't count apparently!0 -
What exactly happened at the airport? Did they not board speedy boarders first?0
