Car Park Damage Avoidance

Nope
And if there's mother and baby bays free I will use those as well
I have a two door car and a fat bum, I need space:D0 -
That is fair enough. :beer:C_Mababejive wrote: »I just park in a disabled bay or mother/child bay where theres plenty of room.
It is clear from your posts that you are severely mentally disabled so you do qualify for those spaces.

Personally I think parking in disabled bays or similar when not disabled or using a car seat is not very considerate but that's me.
I would rather walk further than make a genuinely disabled person suffer."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -

A cheeky suggestion of a Solution:vikingaero wrote: »...park far away...."fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -

That is my first option, but if its lashing down I will park in a mother and babies space and always at Asda, cos I tend to go at night and those bays are empty0 -

I try not to park near: trolley bays, 2 door cars, cars that are parked funny and cars with a car seat in the back yet I still get chips and damage inflicted.
I wish more people thought like you and avoided parking beside 2 door cars. I have a 2 door car and I park as far away from the shop as possible, but even though there are plenty of other spaces, someone has to come and park beside me. If I'm in a car park that's busier and someone parks beside me, I give them 'the look' when they're getting out, so they have to watch how far out they put their door.
I usually go for an end space, or if one of the spaces is taken by a lamp post. When I go to Tesco I always park in the top corner where a lot of staff park (it is not an area reserved for staff). Its great then because I recognise some of the cars and know their owners will not be leaving before me, so no risk of doors being thrown out.
I've watched people attempt to park, and they can't even drive into a space without nearly hitting the car beside them. Then when they go to reverse out, they do so onto oncoming traffic.
One time I was in a car park and a man was unloading his trolley into his car. He had his trolley laying against the car parked next to his  I was looking at him, shocked. He asked me if it was my car - he'd have known all about it if it was!
Then with on street parking, there's the risk of getting a bump from those who aren't very good at parallel parking.0 -

It's easy enough to borrow one, they're everywhere in Hull, no matter what time of day / night.0 -

Thank you for giving me a laugh on this dull Sunday morning!"fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0 -
I try to find a space as far away as possible, preferably an awkward reverse in only space, the lardies who need to throw the door fully open to get their bulk out won't park that far away, and few people are capable of reversing into a space.
Like others check for child seats and if the car beside you looks like it was abandoned instead of parked then expect an incompetent plank to be getting back in with equal care or practice, if they couldn't get in the space properly don't expect them to improve by the time they'd shopped.
As for negligent car damage caused by others, its part of the new order of things where millions have been dragged up to believe and subsequently educated (and i use the term loosely) into having no responsibility whatsover for themselves and their actions to have no consequences.
If the great unwashed ever had to pay their way in life they'd take far greater care of other peoples property.0
