If you apply now it will be a 5 year paSsport. An adukt passport cannot be issued until his 16th birthday. Apply now And it will only be£46 and any extra validity will be added on to the 5 years

DH posted his off for renewal & name change on Friday 25th, it arrived there last Monday & was delivered to us Thursday & old passport & docs back on Friday. Definitely a good time of year!

Does anyone have any recent experience of Peterborough IPS?

I just started a thread about DS's passport applied for only a week ago but we go to France on 8 March and starting to stress (sent it recorded but not check and send and RM confirm its safe delivery)

Thanks but thats part of the problem - I don't as I didn't realise I needed to keep it :mad:
I have another application form which we got at the same time in case of an error - I don;t suppose it's simply a case of the last digit being one lower than the one I have here? I'm guessing the bar codes are all completely random?

Yes the last three numbers are random. Try phoning the advice line.

I just filled in the form and it said "application number if you have it"
So filled it in any submitted it anyway.
Probably find now that I'll get the passport back before they deal with the enquiry, lol.

Yes good time of year for passports, I sent off for 4 and received them all back in less than a week, and I had made a stupid error on all the forms and they thankfully overlooked that !! and I agree photo aren't clear, wish I had renewed mine because my photo needs to be blurred, I got laughed at going to menorca!!

If you're completely incompetent maybe, but to the average person it only slightly reduces the risk. It's not an exam! It's a clear form that tells you exactly what to do.

Can anyone give advise on how to get 29.00 pounds we paid for an on-line passport application back..Which according to the Newport office has nothing to do with them..The gentleman on the phone in Newport said if he had a penny for every person who queried the payment he would be very well off. ..The on-line applications lists their charges as the payments for the passports...This is surely fraudulent and should not be allowed by the Passport Office...:(
