    I've been Money Tipped!
I just asked dh, who lodges weekdays, and he says he only uses the reception room when socialising with LLs at there instigation. He meets friend's out, and works long hours, so usually after coming home, eats (of eating at the lodging) then is pleased to shower and get onto bed.

When we had a lodger she used our sitting room. When we were having friends over she was asked if she wanted to join us or...'oh no, I'm out that night' and once 'would you mind if I kept a low profile instead?'

Sharing is sometimes frustrating but requires a mindset I think.

Dh is reluctantly leaving how here he has been for a year (only because he is relocating offices and likes to be a walk from work) and is reminded how difficult it can be to find people who are very compatible. On the plus side, every room he has seen he has been offered first refusal of. And he thinks he is taking one he saw last week :)

Wow, I just had 1 bad day didn't didn't mean to cause a lodger vs landlord fight! Yeah I may have over reacted, I think I just needed some inigma time. When he moved in I said I wanted him to treat this as a home, it was the constant him being here and inigma nt get any self time that upset me. After living with landlords that banished me from living rooms and having to dry clothes in m own room I always said when I had a lodger they would have a home not a rented room. Like I said I just wanted some self inigma time. Ask yourself this, if it wasn't an other half and every night after a long day in the office and you came home to someone vegetating on a couch how would you feel, it was just a rant, a glorious anonymous rant.
